Meet Our Team

Matt began his craftsman career carving wooden figures with a scroll saw when he was just eight years old. After graduating from the University of Tennessee, he started putting his skills to use by renovating homes in the Nashville area. In 2006 he returned to his hometown of Cincinnati, enrolled in the MBA program at Miami University, and began working on renovating homes and apartments in and around Norwood. He has renovated over 100 apartment units in the last 13 years, and now leads Renaissance Home Renovations by example with the skills and experience he’s gained over many years of renovating properties.

Joshua is a part owner of Renaissance Home Renovations. Previously he owned a successful hardscape business before partnering with Matt Tedford at Renaissance. Joshua serves as a project manager as well doing quoting and skilled labor roles in the company. Joshua loves taking a space that is outdated or unusable and creating a beautiful and functional area for homeowners and their families. In his free time, Joshua enjoys hiking with his wife, watching football, and playing golf.

Steve joined the Renaissance team in late 2021 after a recent career change. Steve has spent the last 20 years as an entrepreneur, and the last 10 years as a Chick-fil-A franchise owner. He comes from a long line of craftsmen as much of his family were woodworkers and tradesmen. As a project Lead, he is passionate about helping our team maximize our efforts to complete projects with excellence. When he’s away from the job, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, playing drums on the worship team at his church, and beating people in pickleball.

Joe is the property manager and part team-lead for Renaissance. He previously helped manage a restaurant in Pittsburgh before moving to Cincinnati and joining the Renaissance team. During the summers, he would come up to Cincinnati and help Joshua with his hardscape business. He loves building relationships with people and prefers physical labor over the corporate world. In his free time, he enjoys exploring Cincinnati, going to the gym, and cheering on his Pittsburgh sports teams.
